Houston Commercial Intelligence: Official Business, Property, and Infrastructure Data
The Houston Commercial Intelligence Module organizes selected United States federal, State of Texas, City of Houston, Harris County, and other official public records into a structured research product for B2B account review, market screening, property research, vendor targeting, operational planning, and compliance-facing analysis.
Houston requires a different commercial-research model from conventionally zoned U.S. cities. The City does not have a citywide comprehensive zoning ordinance, so location review may require permits, subdivision and platting records, deed restrictions, development regulations, property context, infrastructure, flood and environmental signals, regulated-business records, and confirmation of the responsible jurisdiction.
Houston is one of five Registry Intelligence markets in Texas. The state hub compares Houston with Austin, Dallas, Fort Worth / Tarrant County, and San Antonio while preserving the different public-record systems, regulatory structures, and geographic boundaries of each market.
Inspect Houston records before choosing paid access
The public preview contains a fixed sample of up to 10 selected rows from each of the module’s 8 top-level commercial categories. Use it to evaluate the field structure, category logic, location context, source references, record descriptions, and suitability of the data for your research workflow.

One current pack, two research interfaces, and traceable source context
The CSV and protected browser provide different ways to work with the Houston current pack. They should not be interpreted as separate databases or added together as duplicate record counts.
01
Houston current-pack CSV: 94,665 records and 32 buyer-facing fields prepared for export, segmentation, account review, location analysis, reporting, enrichment workflows, and archiving.
02
Protected Houston browser: Monthly and Annual users can search and filter the current pack by available account, category, subtype, source, location, date, and other buyer-facing fields.
03
Record-level review: available source URLs, categories, subtype labels, addresses, dates, statuses, geographic context, and supporting descriptions help users distinguish a preliminary signal from evidence requiring official verification.
Houston official-source records organized by commercial research purpose
The module does not treat every public record as the same type of signal. Records are separated into eight top-level categories and more specific source-program or record-subtype labels so users can review each source in the correct commercial context.
01
Business Location Registry: named organizations, commercial locations, address-level business context, and official activity selected for account and market review.
02
Property and Parcel Intelligence: property, parcel, subdivision, land, development, vacant-site, and location signals that can support commercial real estate and site research.
03
Environmental and Compliance Risk: environmental programs, regulated facilities, waste, brownfield, flood, code, incident, and other records requiring careful source-backed review.
04
Healthcare Provider Signals: healthcare organizations, facilities, providers, regulated locations, and related institutional records selected for commercial and vendor research.
05
Transportation and Logistics: carrier, fleet, transportation, freight, operational-location, and logistics-facing signals relevant to Houston’s commercial market.
06
License and Regulated Business: licenses, permits, registrations, regulated activities, and operational records associated with specific business categories or locations.
07
Nonprofit and Institutional: nonprofit organizations, public entities, community institutions, and other institutional records relevant to market mapping and service-demand research.
08
Infrastructure Projects: public works, transportation, water, road, utility, and other infrastructure-related activity where included in the current module.

Confirm the jurisdiction, select the signal category, and verify the official evidence
01
Inspect the public preview to confirm that the fields, categories, source context, and record format fit the intended account, property, vendor, market, or compliance-facing workflow.
02
Confirm whether the record concerns the City of Houston, unincorporated Harris County, another municipality, an extraterritorial jurisdiction, or a wider Houston-area official source.
03
Use the category, subtype, date, location, status, description, and source fields to filter and prioritize records before opening individual detail views.
04
Return to the controlling City, county, State of Texas, federal, or other public record when a permit, lease, compliance, licensing, construction, legal, financial, or investment decision depends on the result.
Registry Intelligence supports discovery, comparison, screening, and prioritization. The responsible government office and current official record remain controlling for an official determination.
What the Houston module can support — and what it cannot prove
Review the platform’s sourcing principles, evidence handling, access boundaries, and permitted-use framework on the Data Sourcing & Compliance page.
01
Built from selected United States federal, State of Texas, City of Houston, Harris County, and other official public-source systems relevant to the Houston market.
02
Source URLs, categories, subtype labels, dates, geographic context, and supporting descriptions are retained where available so users can return to the controlling source.
03
Records requiring geographic confirmation are labeled conservatively rather than automatically presented as confirmed City of Houston operating locations.
04
An official-source record documents a recorded event or administrative status. It does not automatically prove current operation, project completion, legal compliance, ownership, occupancy approval, commercial intent, or financial condition.
05
Not a raw source extract, evidence archive, personal-contact list, complete business directory, guaranteed lead product, property-owner database, tax-distress product, foreclosure product, or credit report.
06
Risk and opportunity labels support screening and prioritization. They are not legal conclusions, confirmed violations, compliance certifications, or guaranteed commercial outcomes.
